Nestled in the Durance Gorge, this exceptional site offers unique thrills above the river, with four routes suitable for all levels, from complete beginners to experienced climbers, always with safety in mind!

Description

Created and maintained by Roc Aventure, this fee-based site (€8 for the three routes, excluding equipment rental) is located in the Durance Gorge, upstream from L’Argentière.

Well sheltered and offering a magnificent setting for via ferrata, the site features four routes:

an introductory route,
an easy route (green),
a difficult route (red),
a very difficult route (black).
Some of the routes offer stunning views over the southern Durance Valley, as well as the opportunity to observe how the river has carved out these spectacular gorges over time.

With numerous suspension bridges and plenty of rungs on the easier routes, these via ferratas are ideal for introducing children to the activity from the age of 4.

The site also offers the chance to soar across two 500-metre-long zip lines.

Access: Reach the car park from La Bâtie des Vigneaux by following the signs. From the Via Ferrata car park, follow the left bank of the Durance until you reach the start of the cable.
